Reality 1.6 Beta is Ending…

It is time to say goodbye. We planned four betas. We even skipped the third one. The end of a software beta is a sad time, said no one, like, ever! Betas are to be missed, only if you miss the bugs, the crashes, the limitations, waiting for a fix to come out. No, neither do I.

I am so happy to say this. I have a brand spanking new release candidate right now that has met my expectations for an official release to the world! Seer Systems Reality 1.6, folks! In the next day or so, it will be available on the website. If you can’t wait that long, email me for instructions to download it. If you have paid for all the pre-release betas or if you have purchased an early access beta via the SeerSystemsReality.com website, then you’re good to go. Otherwise, please send a Paypal payment of $199 for the full license. Click on the contact button for my email address to send it to.

What changed? A lot. Reality now supports 4K monitors. The application sports a modern-looking Windows native theme now. It is now a fully 64-bit application. That means you can have bank sets larger than 4GB now, and it can work with your 64-bit DAW with no extra added latency. Best of all, the Reality VST plugin is fully working without being tethered to Reality. You can use all your sounds from your favorite DAW. To get the full Reality experience there, you can launch Reality from the VST if you want. Maybe you want to tweak something in your sound real quick. Reality is right there when you need it. In all ways, Reality has finally entered the 21st century.

It sounds so good, too. It’s like no time has passed at all. What’s even cooler, is you can make it sound even better than it did back in the 1990s. You’ve got all the same controls, but you are no longer limited by the 16-bit signal requirement or the 16-bit downsample you used to have to do with your 1990s soundcard. Reality supports more bit depths for WAV files that you can import. Of course, you can still use any sample type if you want to keep the retro sound, but you now have the option go modern if you want to. Going modern doesn’t always mean you lose the retro vibe either. What made Reality truly great has always been the 80-bit filter section, and it is still there. Even when compared to modern softsynths, you’ll be surprised how clean and juicy it can be.

So yeah, I couldn’t be happier to make this announcement. It’s like a dream come true for me. I hope that Reality will bring you as much joy, peace, and happiness as it has brought me. I want this synth to make your music come alive and make your fans’ hearts sing. I believe that’s what it can do for them – and for you.

Don’t be shy. Reach out and ask me for the very thing that is missing from your music right now. Send me an email. After you’ve played with it, tell me about how it has changed things for you. I want to hear your story. This is what I live for, and it’s why I did all that work to make it happen. I want to hear from you.
